Testing – Gallery – Art

Am testing adding a simple gallery to a blog post by including the shortcode from the [actual] gallery created. Seems like an extra step, but it resolves the problem with the lightbox not working properly.

It is webmaster’s intention to not bog the site down with additional and unnecessary bloatware (gallery plugins, Jetpack, et cetera).

Gallery is set to Basic Grid, and thumbnails are enabled to force the row height. After testing this seems to be the cleanest look. Lightbox functionality is not affected.

Images appear actual size, as they should. Made some minor changes to lightbox configuration. Arrow and esc keys work, as they should.

  2. I really like your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you create this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you? Plz answer back as I’m looking to create my own blog and would like to know where u got this from. cheers

    1. Dear Hairstyles,

Hello, and thank you for your kind thoughts!

I am an old friend of Russell’s and did most of the website work using art and content provided by Russell himself.

I used WordPress to develop the site, and I wrote the the “About” page. The theme used is Twenty Seventeen. All the rest belongs to Russell Scott, and it is his artwork that really sets this site off. I wish he would post a lot more of it, and have told him so. I am not sure he realizes the talent he has.

If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know.

      Best regards,
